SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd. t/a YesPlay is licensed to accept bets in terms of a Bookmakers License issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board (WCGRB) (“the Board”) under Bookmaker Licence No. 10180204-011 (hereafter referred to as “YesPlay”). YesPlay hereby reserves the right to change, modify, add to or remove part of or whole parts from these General Terms and Conditions (hereafter referred to as the “Terms”) at its sole discretion from time to time.
It is your (hereinafter referred to as the “Customer”) responsibility to check these Terms for any changes or updates from time to time, alternatively the Customer can request the latest version by sending an email to legal@yesplay.bet. The Terms shall become effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms. A Customer’s continued use of services following any changes or updates will be considered notice of the Customer’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms, including such changes or updates.
By signing up on yesplay.bet, the Customer accepts and agrees to be bound by these Terms and accept that they shall remain binding on the Customer, for as long as he/she has an account with YesPlay, participates and utilises yesplay.bet. The Customer agrees that the following Terms govern the Customer’s relationship with YesPlay, as well as his/her terms of use.
The purpose of this document is to stipulate the terms, conditions and rules governing Customer’s relationship with YesPlay, the terms of use under which bets are offered and accepted by YesPlay. These Terms shall apply to all transactions between Customer and YesPlay. YesPlay shall not be bound by any terms and/or purported agreement, verbal or otherwise, that is not expressly set out below or specifically agreed to in writing and signed by an authorised representative of YesPlay.
Any bet offered and accepted by YesPlay is subject to these Terms and YesPlay’s betting rules, as well as all applicable South African legislation. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure that he/she is fully acquainted with these Terms and all applicable laws prior to registration and throughout his/her use of YesPlay. It is the Customer’s responsibility to retain copies of his/her transaction records and review YesPlay’s Terms, as well as other policies and rules set out by YesPlay from time to time.
In the event that YesPlay fails to partially or fully exercise any right in terms of these Terms, such relaxation shall not constitute as a waiver of that right, nor shall it preclude any further exercise of such right.
Should YesPlay fail or decline to enforce the whole or part of these Terms or grant any indulgence to the Customer, then such act or omission shall not be interpreted as a waiver of rights, nor shall it act as an estoppel against, or otherwise prejudice, YesPlay.
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein contained or implied by law, each and every term and condition shall be deemed to be separate and severable from the other terms contained herein. If any term is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be vague or invalid or unenforceable, that term shall be treated as pro non scripto and shall in no way affect the validity of the remaining terms and provisions hereof.
The validity of these Terms, its interpretation, the respective rights and obligations of YesPlay and the Customer (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”), as well as all other matters arising in any way out of it or its enforcement, expiration or suspension for any reason, shall be determined in accordance with the laws of South Africa. The Parties hereby consent to the adjudication of any dispute, to the degree that such dispute is not otherwise regulated in terms of this Agreement, by any South African court of competent jurisdiction; in accordance with, and in amplification of which, the Parties hereby specifically consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such court.
YesPlay operates as a responsible institution in adherence to the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 2001 (“FICA”). FICA outlines various requirements, including those related to Customer registration, identification, withdrawal and deposit processes, as well as limits on wagers and winnings. If FICA or its associated regulations specify procedures and limits, YesPlay shall adhere to them. In cases where FICA does not specify such procedures and limits, YesPlay shall take responsible steps to establish and follow its own, always considering relevant legislation and regulations. This is done in line with principles of good corporate governance and the promotion of socially responsible gambling. For more details on FICA, please visit fic.gov.za. Customers agree that YesPlay retains the right to suspend any account that does not meet FICA requirements.
FICA was established in order to combat money laundering activities; to impose certain duties on institutions and other persons who might be used for money laundering purposes; to amend the Prevention of Organised Crime Act, 1998, and the Promotion Of Access to Information Act, 2000; and to provide for matters connected therewith. More information regarding FICA can be found at fic.gov.za.
YesPlay reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to deny and/or refuse the opening of an account, without any prior communication/notice or without providing reasons for such a decision. In the event that an account is opened, YesPlay reserves the right to suspend or close any account where the Customer fails, refuses or neglects to comply with the Terms contained herein, alternatively any other applicable law. In such an instance, YesPlay shall refund any credit balance in the Customer’s account at the time (in accordance with the Terms set out herein).
In the event that these Terms (or any other policy or rules document available on yesplay.bet) are translated into another language, the English language version shall take precedence in case of any conflict between the translated version and the English language version.
The content displayed on yesplay.bet is provided as is, without any warranties, whether expressed or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. YesPlay and the content authors take no responsibility for errors or omissions. YesPlay does not guarantee the safety, reliability, accuracy, correctness, or completeness of the content. Customers signing up agree that YesPlay shall not be liable for any damages, whether direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential, resulting from the inability to use the content / Services, even if informed of the possibility of such damages.
YesPlay provides its Customers an online betting platform where all bets, including those on casino games and slots are based on fixed-odds betting rules (“Services”).
No persons under the age of 18 years may make use of YesPlay’s Services. Underage gambling is an offence and YesPlay hereby reserves the right to request proof of age from the Customer, failing which such account shall be suspended.
YesPlay requires its Customers to identify themselves for purpose of age verification. In terms of FICA, YesPlay is legally required to establish and verify the identity of its Customers. As such, the Customer hereby agrees that they are required to provide certain personal information for identification purposes, including but not limited to producing valid documentation for verification, such as a South African Identity document (Green ID Book / Smart Card ID), passport or driver’s licence.
In the event that YesPlay is unable to verify the Customer’s identity once the Customer has registered an account and is depositing funds, YesPlay reserves its right to void any transaction during this period, to suspend the Customer’s account and withhold the account balance in the Customer’s account, until such time that Customer has satisfactorily verified his/her identity.
Customers utilising the Services are strictly prohibited from employing or making use of any bots, Artificial Intelligence (“AI”), algorithms, automated systems or any other similar technologies that may provide them with an unfair advantage. Any attempt to use such technology for gaining an unfair advantage or manipulating the system is strictly forbidden.
YesPlay reserves its rights to conduct internal investigations and compile reports which reasonably indicates possible and likely use of bots, algorithms, automated systems, AI or similar technologies during the Customer’s gameplay. Should such investigations reasonably confirm that an unfair advantage exists (or existed at the time of the transaction), YesPlay reserves its rights to void any transactions for this period and suspend the Customer’s account without any prior notice.
YesPlay is dedicated to implementing all reasonable measures to uphold the enjoyment of playing on yesplay.bet and to ensure a fair gaming environment. YesPlay’s commitment extends to preventing practices that could diminish the Customer’s gaming experience or an unfair advantage to other players.
By accepting these Terms, the Customer accepts that YesPlay forbids all unfair practices aimed at safeguarding its Customers and maintaining the integrity of its systems. Unfair practice, apart from the use of bots or AI technologies, shall include but not be limited to any activities such as the use of multiple accounts or collaboration with other Customers and/or third-parties.
Customers utilising YesPlay’s Services agree that one Customer having multiple accounts, whether in his/her name or another name, for the sole purpose of playing both accounts at the same time shall not be permitted.
Where it is determined that an unfair practice has taken place (whether an advantage was gained or not), YesPlay may, in its sole and absolute discretion, immediately suspend the Customer’s account and all linked and offending accounts (whether such account is his/her personal name or not).
The Customer further agrees and accepts that he/she shall not share his/her login credentials (including password) with any third-parties. The registration of an account with YesPlay shall be only for the Customer’s personal use and not to be shared or used by anyone else other than the Customer.
Upon registration of an account and subsequent acceptance of these Terms, the Customer agrees to maintain the secrecy and confidentiality of his/her details used to login, including his/her registered mobile number and password, refraining from sharing them with others.
Where a Customer’s account is being used by a person / third-party other than the Customer himself/herself, YesPlay reserves its rights to suspend the Customer’s account without prior written notice to the Customer for such a decision.
Regulations with regard to FICA requirements stipulate that YesPlay is required to take steps to further identify and validate its Customers that transact above certain limits. Customers shall be requested to provide documentary evidence of his/her identity and residency should the Customer’s transactions require that YesPlay obtains further information. The Customer hereby agrees to provide such information immediately on demand in order to continue utilising the Services offered by YesPlay.
To ensure the robust security and integrity of YesPlay’s system, we reserve the right to conduct security reviews at any time. These reviews aim to validate the Customer’s identity, age, provided registration data, and the Customer’s use of the Services, including compliance with YesPlay’s Terms and policies, as well as the Customer’s financial transactions for such Services, to identify any potential breaches of these Terms or applicable laws (“Security Review”). By agreeing to the Terms, the Customer authorises YesPlay and its employees/agents to conduct inquiries and to disclose necessary information to third parties for validation purposes. This may include, but shall not be limited to, credit report checks or verifying information against third-party databases. Furthermore, to facilitate these Security Reviews, the Customer agrees to provide any requested information or documentation at YesPlay’s discretion.
In the unlikely or rare event where a Customer identifies any errors or error related to the Customer’s account or calculations for placed bets, the Customer must promptly notify YesPlay via its support channels.
In the event of errors, system failures, or game malfunctions leading to miscalculations in odds, charges, fees, bonuses, or payouts (“Error”), YesPlay will strive to restore all/any affected parties to their positions prior to the occurrence of the Error. YesPlay retains the authority to void wagers or bets connected to such Errors and deduct any relevant amounts from the Customer’s account. If the Customer’s account lacks sufficient funds, the Customer may be required to settle the outstanding amount or the Customer’s account may be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, if, at YesPlay’s discretion, it is determined that an Error was exploited for an unfair advantage, such activity may be subject to an account suspension in accordance with these Terms.
To use the Services offered by YesPlay, the Customer will be required to follow the sign up process available online at yesplay.bet or on the official YesPlay mobile app.
All account applications are processed at the sole discretion of YesPlay.
YesPlay does not allow the opening of accounts with non-South African residential addresses, contact details and/or bank accounts. Due to Exchange Control restrictions no withdrawal request to a non-South African bank account will be processed, i.e., only payments to the following banks will be processed: ABSA, First National Bank (FNB), Standard Bank and Nedbank. In the event of a withdrawal request to a non-South African bank account all payments to fund the account will be reversed and bets cancelled. Please contact support@yesplay.bet to query whether a bank account will qualify for withdrawal if unsure.
After opening an account YesPlay may require the following documents from the Customer:
a copy of your SA Identity Document (ID) and/or current Passport,
a copy of documentation verifying your physical address as proof of residence, not older than 3 months from the transaction date,
proof of your bank account.
YesPlay may conduct further investigations into your activities should any of the following occur:
a deposit of more than R5,000.00,
a withdrawal of more than R5,000.00,
withdrawals over a 30 day period of R25,000.00 and above,
the same bank account is used to deposit to different YesPlay accounts,
the same amount is withdrawn as deposited without any betting transactions taking place.
YesPlay reserves the right to delete accounts (i.e., Your profile and Your virtual wallet) that are dormant/inactive for a continuous period of six (6) months (or such period as YesPlay may determine) with immediate effect. In addition, an administration fee of R50.00 will be deducted from a dormant/inactive account on a monthly basis until such a time as the account is no longer in credit, has become active once again, or has been inactive for a period exceeding thirty (30) months. The first fee will be charged at the end of the 6th month after the last account login was recorded.
The customer warrants that all information provided in the account application form completed by him/her is and shall remain true and correct. The customer undertakes forthwith, and in writing, to advise YesPlay of any and all matters or changes in details that might have bearing on an approved application or the customer’s creditworthiness, legal capacity or continued eligibility as a customer.
YesPlay reserves the right to –
accept an application for a new account,
decline an application for a new account for any reason whatsoever,
cease accepting bets from a customer in its sole discretion for any reason whatsoever, which YesPlay shall not be obliged to furnish or disclose to the customer or any other person, and
decline an application for a new account if –
the account application form has not been completed in full; and/or
the information contained in the account application form is found to be incorrect or subject to a material omission; and/or
any information required to be submitted in conjunction with the application form, or requested by YesPlay prior or subsequent to the submission of the application form, is not provided by the applicant in the manner or format or within such time frames as YesPlay may specify.
The customer is solely responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of all his/her account details and other information that will enable him/her to place a bet. The customer undertakes that he/she shall –
not apply for or hold more than one account with YesPlay,
not apply for an account in the name of or on behalf of any other person, and
not permit or enable any other person to place a bet, directly or indirectly, by making use of such account reference number, user name or personal identification number as is or may be furnished to the customer by YesPlay from time to time and YesPlay shall accordingly not be liable to honour any transaction pertaining to any account so held or applied for or to pay out any winnings in respect of any bet so placed. The customer indemnifies YesPlay against any claims, losses or damages arising from such bets.
The customer undertakes to notify YesPlay immediately in the event that the customer’s account information is lost, stolen, misappropriated, or utilised by someone other than the customer or the customer has reason to believe that any of these circumstances has occurred. The customer shall be liable for all bets placed with YesPlay and any payments made by/to YesPlay in respect of any purchase and/or transaction concluded on the customer’s account prior to notification in accordance with this clause.
YesPlay reserves the right to, modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this website (or any part of) with or without notice to you and you confirm that YesPlay shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification to or withdrawal of the website. YesPlay will use all reasonable endeavours to maintain the website. The website is subject to change from time to time. You will not be eligible for any compensation because you cannot use any part of the website or because of a failure, suspension or withdrawal of all or part of the website due to circumstances beyond YesPlay’s control.
YesPlay respects its Customers’ right to privacy and the Privacy Policy describes the type of information gathered and the reasons for holding such data. By visiting YesPlay’s website, you are accepting the practices described in YesPlay’s Privacy Policy. If YesPlay changes the YesPlay’s Privacy Policy YesPlay will post these changes on YesPlay’s website.

NOTE: YesPlay’s Privacy Policy is inseparably linked to these Terms and its acceptance is a prerequisite to account registration.
The information YesPlay collects from Users of YesPlay’s site (usually by means of forms such as the registration and contact forms) is limited to personal details needed for the purpose of business communications, administration, and providing you with promotional offers, for example: your name, address, telephone number, and email address. YesPlay will collect, store, process, transmit or otherwise handle private information only with your knowledge and consent, and YesPlay will to the best of YesPlay’s ability ensure such information is not made available to any third party except as required by law.
In particular the customer agrees that access to the system is available to the regulators and as such information is disclosed to the Board as required by and envisaged in the relevant Acts.
Further information of a non-personal nature may be gathered in the form of cookies or log files (for example, the IP address of your computer, the date and time of your visit, which pages you browsed and whether the pages have been delivered successfully.) Your IP Address is automatically collected and used for purposes of quality control, diagnosing problems with YesPlay’s server, administration of YesPlay’s website, to gather demographic information or judge the popularity of YesPlay’s site areas.

Bets are deemed accepted as soon as they have been registered on the YesPlay system and the transaction has been processed against the customer’s account. Registered bets will be displayed with a Bet ID that is unique to each particular ticket. No bets may be placed after the official start time of an event unless the event is a “Live In-Play” event. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure the accuracy of bets placed. Customers are referred to clause 1.7. “Acceptance of Bets” of these Terms, contained hereinbelow.
All funds deposited into your account with YesPlay will be held on your behalf until utilised by yourself to place bets.
YesPlay is not a financial institution and thus any deposits made into your account are not due any interest payments on the deposit(s) whatsoever.
Funds in your account may be withdrawn on request and will be subject to two (2) business days’ notice to allow YesPlay to verify compliance with FICA and these Terms.
Please be aware that if you make any deposits, the full value of the deposit will need to be wagered at least once in order to be able to withdraw that amount.
Deposit made from an account other than yours, will incur an admin fee of R120.00 in order to transfer the funds back to the account the deposit was made from.

Should you be found to be in violation of this agreement you acknowledge and agree that you will be held liable for all legal costs, on an attorney and own client scale, incurred by YesPlay for any civil action or any legal action deemed necessary to be instituted against you.
No person may apply for an account and place a bet with YesPlay unless that person –
is a natural person,
is 18 years or older,
has completed a full application and provided supporting documentation as described in the signup process, and
is not listed on the register of excluded persons in terms of Section 14 of the National Gambling Act.
Customers are strictly prohibited from using YesPlay and its systems to facilitate any type of illegal money transfer.
You must not use the website for any unlawful or fraudulent activity or prohibited transaction (including, but not limited to, money laundering) under the laws of any jurisdiction that applies to you.
If YesPlay suspects that you may be engaging in, or have engaged in fraudulent, unlawful or improper activity, including money laundering activities or any conduct which violates these Terms, your access to YesPlay will be terminated immediately and your account may be blocked.
If your account is terminated or blocked under such circumstances, YesPlay is under no obligation to refund to you any funds that may be in your account.
In addition YesPlay shall be entitled to inform the relevant authorities, other online service providers, banks, credit card companies, electronic payment providers or other financial institutions of your identity and of any suspected unlawful, fraudulent or improper activity.
You will cooperate fully with any YesPlay investigation into such activity.
All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR).
Before requesting an Electronic Funds Transfer (“EFT”), it is important to note that:
the bank account (into which the customer wants their withdrawable funds paid into) must be in the customer’s personal name;
YesPlay reserves the right to ask the Customer for additional documents, including but not limited to the Customer’s proof of residence, 3 (three) months’ bank statement and/or a bank confirmation letter;
withdrawals over R25,000.00 (twenty five thousand rand) will be subject to further FICA verification.
Customers have 2 (two) free withdrawals available to them weekly, within a 7-day (seven) period starting from Monday to Sunday (SAST). Beyond the initial free EFT withdrawal requests, Customers will be charged a nominal fee of R10.00 (ten rand) per withdrawal request. Unused free withdrawals within the 7-day (seven) period will not carry over, they will be reset to zero at the beginning of a new week;
Customers may not withdraw more than R100,000.00 (one hundred thousand rand) per day) and more than R500,000.00 (five hundred thousand rand) per calendar month. Customers wanting to withdraw more than the maximum amounts allowed may request an increase by contacting support@yesplay.bet, which increase is considered on a case-by-case basis and may be applied in YesPlay’s sole and absolute discretion;
all withdrawable limits are cumulative for their respective time periods. For example: if a Customer’s daily limit is R1,000.00 (one thousand rand) and a Customer has already withdrawn R600.00 (six hundred rand), the Customer will not be able to withdraw more than R400.00 (four hundred rand) in the same day.
YesPlay reserves the right to invalidate, retain and/or nullify any or all winnings accrued by a Customer or a group of Customers, in the event that YesPlay has reasonable grounds to suspect that said Customer or group of Customers are collaborating in an effort to deceive or harm YesPlay and its Services in any manner. Such shall also apply in the event where a Customer:
has ’charged back’ or denied any of the deposits that the Customer made into their YesPlay account;
was requested to provide certain documentation to verify their identity, ownership, or legitimacy of the Customer’s account and/or activities on the account. Customer’s signing up to the Services agree to provide such documentation within 21 (twenty-one) days of the request. Failure to provide the requested documentation within this timeframe grants YesPlay the right to forfeit any available withdrawable funds in the Customer’s account and suspend the Customer’s account until such documentation is provided to our satisfaction.

Virtual Card Services (VCS) process all credit card transactions. All credit card transactions are 128 bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypted and 3D Secure.
The company registration documents and the site’s registered domain name are checked and verified by Thawte, guaranteeing the cardholder and merchant that no unauthorised individual can impersonate VCS to obtain confidential information. If you use a credit/debit card and/or a financial/bank account for transactions at YesPlay, the account/cardholder’s name MUST be the same as the name you used when registering a YesPlay account. Should the name you registered on the YesPlay account and the name that appears on your credit/debit card and/or financial/bank account differ in any way, your account will be immediately suspended. Should your account be suspended, YesPlay recommends that you contact YesPlay Customer Service for details regarding the YesPlay verification process.
The minimum withdrawal amount is R100.00 and all withdrawals will be processed back to the same payment method used to make a deposit on the account. As stated hereinabove in clause 1.6.8., if a financial account and/or credit/debit card has been used to deposit funds, the name registered on the account must correspond to the name registered on the account/card. In the case of a request to pay funds via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), the acquiring bank account must be held in the same name as used during registration. Upon placing withdrawal requests a customer will be asked to supply banking details. In the event the customer uploads incorrect details and the payment is reversed as a result, the admin fee of R120.00 (one hundred and twenty rands) will be for the customer’s account.
When using the Instant Withdrawal option, the Customer is responsible for the safekeeping of the voucher number and pin. YesPlay will not take any responsibility for vouchers claimed on the customers behalf due to negligence or otherwise.
Credit card deposits may only be made by the cardholder whose name is displayed on the credit card, which must match the name in which the YesPlay betting account is held. Credit card deposits will be subject to “Verified by Visa” and “Mastercard SecureCode”, as well as any security verification methods imposed by the YesPlay Online Platform payment gateway.

Bets are only accepted as valid bets, placed according to these rules, once a transaction code/ticket has been logged in the YesPlay server. If you have any doubts as to whether a bet is valid, you should view your list of “pending” bets. It is therefore imperative that customers understand that it is their responsibility to ensure that the details of bets are correct. In the event of any dispute, both the customer and YesPlay agree that the transaction log database will act as the final authority in determining the outcome of such dispute.
In order to manage YesPlay liabilities, YesPlay reserves the right to suspend, close and notify any customer of duplicate accounts. YesPlay further reserves the right to refuse the whole or part of any bet without offering any explanation.
Any bet accepted after the start of an event and is not identified as “In-Play” will be made void. In the event of any dispute over the time at which a bet was placed, the time recorded in the YesPlay transaction log will be the determining factor.
The placing of bets by any person under the age of 18 is prohibited by law and the right to void any transactions with persons under this age is reserved.
The access to and/or betting on the web site may not be legal for some persons and/or in certain countries.
YesPlay does not intend that the website should be used for betting or any other purpose in countries or jurisdictions where such activities are illegal.

Settlement or payments will be made in the name of the account holder and not to any third party in any circumstance.
Payments will be made electronically directly into the customer’s account and although YesPlay endeavours to make real time payments, they may take up to 48 hours to reflect in the customer’s account. Payments will be activated Monday to Friday during the hours of 09h00 to 16h00.
Should the customer not have a valid South African bank account at the time of the payout, YesPlay shall retain the winnings/payout for a maximum of ninety (90) days, within which the customer shall be granted an opportunity to claim the winnings/payout by presenting a valid bank account in the customer’s name. Should the customer fail to adhere to the aforementioned requirement, the winnings shall be forfeited to YesPlay.
In the event that settlement or payment is not made, for whatever reason, within the normal and standard period of payment and settlement, or as indicated in these Terms, customers have ninety (90) days to claim their winnings from the time and date from which results are known. YesPlay reserves the right to claim back any funds that have been mistakenly credited to a customer’s account.
By agreeing to these Terms, the customer agrees that for marketing purposes, to allow YesPlay shall, in its sole discretion, be permitted to:
utilise the customer’s first name and initial of surname in any social media posts, banners and/or winner announcements on YesPlay’s official social media accounts;
use the customer’s photograph on YesPlay’s site and/or any social media posts, banners and/or winner announcements on YesPlay’s official social media accounts. The inclusion of the customer’s photograph shall apply to marketing announcements for winnings over R50,000.00 (ZAR).
Any and all photographs to be taken of the customer as referenced in clause 1.8.12.2. above, shall:
be agreed to beforehand with the customer. The customer understands that YesPlay will not take any photographs of the customer without the customer’s prior knowledge and consent; and

The betting limit is the amount that a customer is able to wager on one individual bet. A payout limit is the maximum amount that will be paid out on an individual bet.
“The Customer” refers to a customer, punter and/or any other combination of individuals acting together as determined by YesPlay. YesPlay has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor any activity and content associated with its services. In the event that YesPlay detects and/or suspects fraudulent activity in relation to any bet, YesPlay reserves the right to suspend the bet and the processing of any and all transactions surrounding such bet, until YesPlay is satisfied that the transactions concerned are lawful. YesPlay reserves the right to correct results where they have been previously incorrectly processed and paid. Where you are incorrectly paid in accordance with incorrect winnings, then YesPlay reserves the right to deduct the incorrect winnings amounts from your account.
Any error in venue, time, date, team composition, identity of any competitor or result of any event advertised by YesPlay, shall not entitle you to a refund of stake or to avoid the bet concerned.
YesPlay reserves the right to suspend a market at its discretion. When a market is suspended, any bets placed during that suspension will be disallowed and any bet accepted will be voided.
Whenever YesPlay refuses to pay alleged winnings to a customer or a customer refuses to pay an alleged debt to YesPlay, for any reason, and/or a dispute of any kind related to the fulfilment of a transaction by either party, and YesPlay and the customer are unable to resolve the dispute to the satisfaction of both parties:
YesPlay will inform the customer that the dispute will be referred to the Board (Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, Seafare House, 68 Orange Street, Cape Town, 8001, South Africa) for resolution, after which YesPlay will, within forty-eight (48) hours, refer the dispute to the Board.
The customer is not precluded from lodging a complaint directly with the Board.
The Board shall conduct whatever investigation it deems necessary to resolve the dispute and shall serve a written notice on YesPlay and the customer, informing them of the Board’s resolution.
The resolution of the Board shall become effective on the date when the parties receive a written notice of the resolution.
In every case, the parties further agree, through the agreement of these Terms that should the dispute be referred to arbitration, the Arbitrator shall be the Manager for Horse Racing and Betting of the Board or his/her nominee and that the decision of the Arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties. If the dispute happens in another province, the Arbitrator may, at his/her discretion, refer the matter to a different Provincial Licensing Authority, and the parties agree hereto.
If the dispute has been referred to arbitration, then the customer’s account shall not be suspended, however the customer will only be allowed to transact using the balance equal to the value of funds deposited less the amount of the transactions in dispute, until the dispute is resolved.
YesPlay accepts bets, using an automated betting system, on events or contingencies, of which the results are not known.
Every time a bet is placed using the YesPlay facilities, the customer agrees to the mentioned Terms.
YesPlay reserves the right to amend these Terms, as well as the rules regarding the payout process. The changes made will be announced to the customers using an appropriate medium. Any bets placed prior to the announced changes are subject to the Terms valid at the time the bet was placed. Any bets placed after the announced changes are subject to the new Terms.
The odds for any outcome (including handicap and totals markets) may be changed at any time, without prior notice. Any bets placed prior to the change will be settled at the odds indicated at the time the bet was struck. This provision does not include changes due to any technical or obvious errors in the given odds.
The bet is finalised only after payment is received and a valid ticket is issued to the customer indicating the parameters of the wager. All bet information is registered within the YesPlay automated betting system.
The customer is responsible for checking the accuracy of the information of the bet placed by him/her. Once the bet is placed, and confirmed it may not be changed or cancelled, except in specific cases indicated in this document.
Connection problems or any other technical issues, will not be considered as a valid reason to cancel a bet, if the bet has already been registered on the system.
YesPlay is not responsible for the accuracy of the information provided by the live events update service, as it is obtained from third party sources.
YesPlay makes every effort to make sure the information regarding the live events update service (the score, the time of the match, and information regarding team and player statistics) is accurate. This service is provided for information purposes only. YesPlay is not responsible for the accuracy of such data.
YesPlay is not responsible for inaccurate translation of team or player names, translated from foreign languages.
If there are two players with the same name in the same tournament, and it was not indicated unambiguously which athlete is being selected, all bets will be considered void, and the original stake will be returned to the customer.
If the name of the tournament, a player’s name, a player’s position, or other information regarding the wager are found, by YesPlay, to be indicated incorrectly, e.g., the wrong team or player is indicated (excluding translation errors), all bets on such an event are considered void and the original stake will be returned to the customer.
In the case of missing information in the tournament or event description, such as the age group, sex, reserve teams etc., which leads to confusion, all bets placed on such an event will be considered void and the original stakes will be returned to the customer. In all other cases where there is an incomplete name or possible grammar error, the bet is considered valid.
If the sex is not indicated, it is considered a male team. In the case of female participants, it must be indicated as such. If it is not indicated, any bets placed on such an event will be considered void, and the original stake will be returned to the customer.
The date and time indicated reflects the date and time when bets will no longer be accepted, and do not necessarily coincide with the time the match is scheduled to start.
During the bet calculation process, the event start time is considered accurate, and is based on the official match times indicated by the official documentation of the relevant organisation and likewise the details provided by YesPlay.
If the event location is not indicated, it is assumed the match will take place on the given first team’s home ground. All information provided within the header of the particular kind of sport, is for information purposes only. Any mistakes in the given information does not constitute a valid reason for stake refunds.
YesPlay offers the following types of betting:
“Single bet” is wagering on a single event. Win on “Single bet” bet is the bet amount multiplied by the odds of the event.
“Multi bet” is wagering on several events that do not correlate with each other. The winnings for “Multi bet” are settled as the bet amount multiplied by the product of the odds of all the events included in the multi bet. The customer can include any combination of outcomes for any sport events that do not correlate with each other in the multi bet. “Multi bet” is considered a winner if all events in the multi bet are predicted correctly. If at least one event is not predicted correctly, the multi bet is lost. In “Multi bet” betting, it is not allowed to include different outcomes of the same event (e.g., match winner and tournament winner) even if they are not directly connected. If incorrect forms of betting are included in a multi bet, the bet will be refunded even if the computer software has accepted the wager.
“System bet” allows a customer to form several lists of multi bets, quickly and easily. A minimum of 3 events must be selected to make a bet. The stake is accepted on the entire “System bet” and divided equally between its multi bets. Depending on the quantity of selected outcomes certain types of “System bets” can be made, e.g., Trixie, Patent, Yankee.
Multi bets and System bets do not allow the inclusion of two outcomes which relate to the same event, even if they are mutually exclusive. If a Multi bet or System bet contains two or more outcomes from the same event, the bet is considered void and the original stake will be returned to the customer, even if the YesPlay system did not pick up on the error. YesPlay reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether the outcomes are related to the same event or not.
In the case of a Multi bet or System bet, on bets involving “Team to advance to playoff round” markets, bets will only be accepted on one of the teams in the group. If a Multi bet or System bet contains such an error, the bet is considered void and the original stake will be returned to the customer, even if the YesPlay system did not pick up on the error. YesPlay reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether such an error has occurred.
YesPlay aims to provide accurate data, but cannot take responsibility for any errors or omissions that may occur in relation to the announcing, publishing or marking of odds/prices, the late closing of markets, place terms, handicaps and/or runners. YesPlay reserves the right to correct any obvious errors which may occur during the information capturing process and the calculation of the winning payout. Typical indicators of obvious errors are: very large differences in the odds supplied by YesPlay and other betting companies, odds that do not reflect the probabilities of the match, etc. YesPlay reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, if an error has been made or not. YesPlay reserves the right to declare bets void, even if the event in question has been completed. After an event data correction, the bet may be considered void, and the original stake refunded.
The following is a list of technical errors that occur frequently:
Odds incorrectly displayed.
In the case of the odds being incorrectly displayed, i.e., if the decimal separator fails to display (e.g., 1.8 displays as 18), the bet will be considered void, and the original stake will be refunded to the customer.
Reversed odds.
When the odds for the teams or players are displayed in reverse.

This occurs when the teams or players are displayed in reverse order.

YesPlay reserves the right to cancel any bets made on events with obviously incorrect odds and/or mistakes. The customer will be informed of any such errors by available means.
YesPlay reserves the right to cancel bets, if the bet was won due to a technical failure and/or obvious error, even after the event has been completed.
YesPlay does not accept any bets on credit, nor does it provide any credit services to its customers.
Participation on credit is prohibited at YesPlay.
The transfer of funds between individual customer accounts is strictly prohibited.
Bets made after the event has already started, will be considered invalid, and will be void. The original stake will be returned to the customer. In the case of a Multi bet or System bet, the event will be removed from the list, (i.e., its odds shall be equal to 1). Any bet for which the results were already known at the time the bet was placed shall be considered invalid and will be void. The original stake will be refunded to the customer.
If the customer wishes to challenge the time of the event, he must provide an official document (or a link to the site of the event regulators), which confirms the actual time of the start of the match, which is the subject of the dispute.
In the event of a dispute, regarding the event start time, where the official regulators of the corresponding tournament/event have failed to provide such information, the information provided by YesPlay shall be considered as the start time of the event for betting purposes.
If the bet is declared “void”, and settled with the new odds being equal to 1 – this implies that the original stake is returned to the customer. In the case of a Multi bet or System bet, the total odds will be recalculated with the odds of the void bet being equal to 1.

The ticket will be paid out per the newly calculated odds.
In regards to any “total” markets (e.g., goal, player cards, team cards, fouls, corners), when the game total is equal to the bet total and there was no such outcome offered among the outcomes, the bet is considered void, and the stake is refunded.
All void bets will be handled in accordance with the BOOKMAKER OPERATIONAL RULES as published by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board. The link for which can be found on the yesplay.bet/regulations page.
A betting subscription to a lottery draw, is a queue of bets, that will be placed on each subsequent draw, as it becomes available. This allows the customer to place a bet, with the same selection of numbers on the same lottery, several draws into the future.
E.g., you want to bet that the numbers 8 and 24 will be drawn in the SA Powerball. During checkout, you pick the “5 Draws” option and set the stake to R10.00. The system will register the first bet on the next available SA Powerball draw, and the rest will be considered future bets on the next 4 draws of the same lottery, with the same selections.
All subscription bets must be paid for in full using the cash account balance.
E.g., you will be charged R50.00 for your 5 bets of R10.00 each.
Each future bet for a lottery will only be registered once the subsequent draw is loaded onto the system.
E.g., the first draw is taking place this Saturday, and your 1st bet has been registered. The second draw for the following Saturday is loaded onto the system on Sunday. Your 2nd bet will then be registered automatically on Sunday.
The subscription can be cancelled at any time, however, only future bets will be cancelled. Registered bets will be subject to the regular cancellation policy.
E.g., your first two bets have been registered on the system, the third, fourth, and fifth are still considered “future bets”. You may cancel the subscription, and receive R30.00 (3 x R10.00) back in your account.
In the event of a draw being cancelled, the stake for that draw will be refunded, and any future bets that are part of your subscription will be placed on the draws going forward.
E.g., the draw your second bet was placed on is cancelled. You will receive your stake of R10.00, and the third bet will be placed on the following draw.
In the event of a lottery being cancelled, all future bets that have not yet been resulted will be void and their stakes refunded.
E.g., the Serbia Loto 7/39 is cancelled completely due to lack of funding. Any bets that have been resulted already will stand, and the remaining bets will be void and their stakes refunded.
In the event of a lottery being closed for a prolonged period of time, all future bets that have not yet been resulted will be void and their stakes refunded.
E.g., due to the pandemic, the SA Powerball is closed for 6 weeks. Your first bet has already been resulted. The remaining bets will be void and their stakes refunded.
If the rules for a lottery are changed by the relevant lottery authority, e.g., the number of balls in the drum has changed, or the number of balls drawn is altered, all future bets will be void, and their stakes refunded.
E.g., the number of balls in the lottery changes from 50 to 49, or the number of balls drawn changes from 5 to 6.
In the event of an odds change due to error or otherwise –
where the customer has agreed to accept odds changes, all future bets will be at the new odds;
where the customer has not agreed to accept odds changes, all future bets will be refunded.
Each individual bet that forms part of the subscription will be subject to the YesPlay’s betting rules.
YesPlay reserves the right to terminate any market for any reason whatsoever. This will result in all future bets on that market being refunded.
This is a best effort service, automated by the system, YesPlay therefore can not guarantee that the customer’s bet will be registered, especially in cases where the next draw is rescheduled. It remains the customer’s responsibility to check that their bet has been registered, along with the details of the draw date.
In the case of possible interference in the match, its result or the odds thereof, YesPlay reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend payments for such an event or to void any bets placed on such a match. YesPlay will inform the relevant authorities of such an occurrence in order for it to be investigated further and to prevent such an occurrence in the future.
YesPlay reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend payment of bets and to declare the match void, returning the original stake to the customer, if there is good reason to believe that the match was “fixed”. The decision of the governing bodies and regulators of the sport will be taken into consideration. YesPlay will inform the relevant authorities of such an occurrence in order for it to be investigated further and to prevent a repeat of such an occurrence in the future.
In cases where the match is relocated to a neutral field, or stadium, all bets will stand.
If the location is changed to the opposing team’s home ground, the bet will be considered void, and the original stake will be returned to the customer.
In cases where both teams are from the same city, any changes in the event’s location will not be considered void, and all bets will stand.
An event is considered interrupted, if it has not spanned the duration of the required amount of playing time, as per the regulations of the tournament, even if the final result is stated for the given event.
In the case of an interrupted event, unless otherwise explicitly stated in the rules pertaining to the particular sport, the bet will be considered void and the original stake will be returned to the customer. This provision is not applicable to markets where the result was already determined prior to the interruption of the match.
If the starting time of an event is postponed by more than twenty four (24) hours, the bet will be considered void.
If a bet is placed on whether the team will go through to the next round, and the team’s match is postponed, the bet will stand and will be settled based on the results of the previously played matches. If the second match did not take place or was interrupted, then all bets on this match, including any outcome for “team to go through to the next round” will be refunded. If none of the matches took place, all bets will be refunded.
YesPlay bases the results for events on official sources after the completion of an event. YesPlay reserves the right to edit said results based on any discrepancies or obvious mistakes that may occur. All customer inquiries about the validity of results, should only be based on the official tournament results as found on the official tournament organisers’ and bodies’ websites. Information from any other sources will not be considered as valid for the purposes of changing the posted results.
If the match is interrupted and is considered invalid, all bets are considered void and will be refunded, even if the result on outcomes before the interruption is known and the result at which the event was interrupted is later affirmed as final.
Provided that it does not contradict any specific rules applying to the individual sport in question, the result of a match is the result announced on the day of the match. Any changes to the result made by the relevant governing bodies, due to any penalisations etc., are not taken into account for the purposes of betting.
Provided that it does not contradict any specific rules applying to the sport in question, if the athlete/horse/team on which the bet is placed cannot take part in the event for any reason whatsoever, the bet shall stand, except in the following cases:
the event/tournament is cancelled;
the event/tournament failed to take place;
the venue of the event was changed;
the event/tournament is interrupted, or postponed by more than twenty four (24) hours.
With regard to “Who win” type bets, should one of two participants refuse to participate in the event or tournament, the bet is void and the stake shall be refunded.
YesPlay shall have the right, prior to accepting any bet, temporarily to suspend or permanently to terminate, the furnishing of betting services to a customer without providing any reason. Upon such suspension or termination –
YesPlay shall upon the demand of the customer, refund to the customer the balance of any funds held by YesPlay on deposit for the customer, after adjusting for losses, winnings and taxes and once such funds have been cleared into YesPlay’s bank account;
Any amounts owed by the customer to YesPlay shall become payable immediately.
The customer shall upon written notice to YesPlay be entitled to terminate its contractual relationship with YesPlay at any time after final conclusion of any betting transaction placed by the customer and after payment by the customer of all amounts owing by the customer to YesPlay. YesPlay shall within a reasonable time after such termination, refund to the customer the balance of any funds held by YesPlay on deposit for the customer, after adjusting for losses, winnings and taxes.
YesPlay shall accept no further bets from a customer in respect of whom the provision of services pursuant to these Terms has been terminated, unless and until a fresh account application form has been submitted by the customer and accepted by YesPlay.
Should the customer breach any of these Terms and fail to remedy such breach (if remediable) within 48 (forty eight) hours after receipt of written notice by YesPlay requiring the customer to do so, YesPlay shall be entitled, without prejudice to any other rights it may have at law, forthwith to terminate its contractual relationship with the customer and to terminate or suspend any bet placed by any such customer, whether accepted or not, and/or to claim damages from the customer. In such event –
all amounts owing by the customer to YesPlay shall become payable immediately; and
YesPlay shall have a lien and right of retention over all funds of the customer on deposit with YesPlay, pending settlement of such damages as may have been suffered by YesPlay.
Notwithstanding the generality of the aforegoing, the customer shall be deemed to be in default if –
the customer dies;
the customer commits any act of insolvency;
the estate of the customer is sequestrated;
the customer endeavours to compromise generally with his/her creditors;
the customer’s name is entered into the register of excluded persons contemplated in section 14 of the National Gambling Act, 2004.
The customer shall be liable for any legal expenses (including the costs on an attorney and own client scale, collection charges and tracing fees) as well as any governmental tax amount including but not limited to value-added tax, which YesPlay may incur in recovering any amounts owing in respect of the customer’s account or a result of the customer’s breach of any of the terms of use or the enforcement by YesPlay of any of its rights against the customer.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YesPlay, YesPlay directors, officers, employees, shareholders, agents and affiliates, YesPlay ultimate parent and parent companies and any of YesPlay subsidiaries against any and all costs, expenses, liabilities and damages (whether direct, indirect, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive or other) arising from, without limitation, your:
Visiting, use or re-use of the website;
Use or re-use of the website by means of telecommunication services;
Use or re-use of any materials at, or obtained from, the website or any other source whatsoever;
Entry to, or use or re-use of the website server;
Facilitating or making a deposit into your account at YesPlay;
Wagering or gaming at YesPlay through any delivery mechanism offered;
Acceptance and use of any win or prize at or from YesPlay;
Use or re-use of YesPlay software, by any means or through any medium; and
Customer relationship with YesPlay.
The total liability of YesPlay directors, officers, employees, shareholders, agents and affiliates, YesPlay ultimate parent and parent companies and any of YesPlay subsidiaries to you in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise, for any loss or damage howsoever arising from any cause, whether direct or indirect, or for any amounts (even where YesPlay has been notified by you of the possibility of such loss or damage) shall not exceed the value of the bets and/or wagers you placed via your account in respect of the relevant bet/wager or product that gave rise to the relevant liability.
By accepting these terms and conditions, you agree that:
your cellphone number will be used in order to register your account with YesPlay;
your cellphone number will be used as a unique method of identifying you;
you have sole access to the mobile device and cellphone number you have provided to YesPlay at the time of your registration and until such time as your YesPlay account is either terminated, alternatively deactivated;
it is your responsibility to ensure that access to your mobile device and your login details for your YesPlay account will be kept confidential and safe;
you will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your YesPlay account is not accessed by any minors;
by allowing another individual access to your mobile device, whether such permission was provided directly or indirectly, your YesPlay account may be accessed by an unauthorised user (“Unauthorised User”); and
to the extent that your mobile device and YesPlay account is accessed by an Unauthorised User, YesPlay shall not be held liable for any/all actions taken by the Unauthorised User on your YesPlay account, including but not limited to placing bets, any deposits and/or withdrawal of funds.
YesPlay shall not be liable for computer malfunctions, failure of telecommunication service or Internet connections nor attempts by You to participate in games by methods, means or ways not intended by YesPlay. Although YesPlay shall take all reasonable measures to ensure that the software and files are free from computer viruses YesPlay cannot and do not guarantee that the software and files are free of such problems. It is Your responsibility to protect Your computer systems and have in place the ability to reinstall any data or programs lost due to a computer virus.
Nothing in these Terms will operate so as to exclude any liability of YesPlay for fraud, death or personal injury that is caused by YesPlay’s negligence.
You accept that participation at YesPlay is at your sole option, discretion and risk. Furthermore, you agree that participation at YesPlay is for your own personal entertainment and non-professional use and, in doing so, are acting on your own behalf.
You represent, warrant and agree that you will comply with all applicable laws, statutes and regulations in relation to your use of the software and service. YesPlay is not responsible for any illegal or unauthorised use of YesPlay software or the service by you. By accepting these Terms you agree to assist YesPlay, to the extent that you are able, with the compliance of the applicable laws and regulations.
In the event of a change of control, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets of YesPlay, your player account and associated data may be part of the assets transferred to the purchaser or acquiring party. In such an event, YesPlay will provide you with notice via email or notice on YesPlay web site explaining your options with regards to the transfer of your account.
The residential address furnished by the customer on the account application form shall serve as his/her domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes in respect of these Terms.
The physical address reflected in respect of YesPlay on its website, as amended from time to time, shall serve as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes in respect of these Terms.
The customer shall have the right to change its domicile by giving one (1) week’s prior written notice to YesPlay of its change of address.
Any notice which:
is delivered by hand during the normal business hours of the addressee at its domicilium citandi et executandi, shall be deemed to have been received at the time of delivery; or
is posted by prepaid registered post to the addressee at its domicilium citandi et executandi, shall be deemed to have been received on the seventh (7th) day after the date of posting; or
is transmitted by fax/email to the addressee at its domicilium citandi et executandi, shall be deemed to have been received on the date reflected on the fax/email transmission confirmation generated.
YesPlay may at any time amend, replace or delete any of the terms and conditions contained herein and shall ensure that current Terms are available on its website. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to ensure that he/she is familiar with the prevailing Terms in force from time to time and the availability thereof on the website of YesPlay shall constitute sufficient notice thereof to the customer and shall bind the customer as if it was expressly agreed to be bound thereby.
In respect of any litigation arising between the customer and YesPlay, the customer consents to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates Court which in terms of section 28 of the Magistrate’s Court Act, 1944 has jurisdiction over the customer, in terms of section 45 of such Act.
Any relaxation or concession or extension granted by YesPlay to the customer shall not be and shall not be deemed to be a novation or waiver of any of YesPlay’s rights as set forth in these Terms.
YesPlay is entitled to supply, request or acquire any relevant credit, account-related or other information pertaining to the customer and his/her account with YesPlay to or from –
accredited bureau,
any bank or regulatory agency, or
any other person or entity
should YesPlay deem it necessary to supply, request or acquire said information for verification or other purposes, and the customer shall have no right of recourse against YesPlay by reason thereof.
The Terms set forth herein constitute the whole agreement between YesPlay and the customer and no agreements, representations or warranties, other than those set out herein, shall be of any force or effect.
No addition to, variation, consensual cancellation or novation of any of the Terms set forth herein and no express or implied waiver of any of the rights arising therefrom shall be of any force and effect unless reduced to writing and signed by YesPlay and the customer or their duly authorised representatives.
Should a customer deposit funds via Credit Card or Cheque Card, they shall be liable to send YesPlay a copy of the front of the card with which they made the deposit. Failure to do this will result in failed withdrawal requests.
Any bet placed by the customer shall be governed by the applicable provisions of the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Act, 1996 and any Regulations and Rules made in terms thereof, as amended from time to time. It shall be the responsibility of the customer to ensure that he/she is aware of these provisions.
The customer undertakes to ensure strict adherence to any policy, guideline or directive issued by the Board relating to the customer or to betting generally.
Although every effort is made to ensure that information displayed on YesPlay site with regards to an event is correct, it is to be used as a guide only. In the event of any particular information (score, time of game, etc.) being incorrect YesPlay assumes no liability for this. The official site for that particular sport should be referred to in the event of any dispute.
All bets are considered to be placed and received in the jurisdiction of the Republic of South Africa in accordance with the terms of YesPlay bookmakers licence.
Internet gambling may be illegal in the jurisdiction in which you are located and if so, you are not authorised to use your payment card to undertake transactions.
These rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa and any disputes related to them shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.
